Trimezyn Bolus

TRIMEZYN BOLUS is a bolus preparation containing a synergistic combination of Sulfadiazine and Trimethoprim. TRIMEZYN BOLUS works by inhibiting the formation of folic acid which is needed in the formation of DNA and RNA. In addition, this combination can reduce the risk of resistance. TRIMEZYN BOLUS is active against almost all gram (-) and gram (+) bacteria, including : Escherichia coli, Haemophilus sp., Pasteurella sp., Salmonella sp., Staphylococcus sp., etc, making it effective for the treatment of infections in cattle, goat, sheep and pig.

COMPOSITION

Each bolus contains:

• - Sulfadiazine
• - Trimethoprim

INDICATION

• - Treat gastrointestinal tract infections
• - Treat respiratory tract infections
• - Protects uterus against bacterial infections (endometritis, metritis)

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

• - Oral : 1 bolus per 50 – 70 kg of body weight for 5 days
• - Intrauterine (after giving birth) :
  • Cattle : 2 boluses
  • Pig, goat, sheep : 1 bolus
