Neo Meditril Injection

NEO MEDITRIL-I is a solution for injection containing Enrofloxacin, an antimicrobial Fluoroquinolon derivative to exterminate bacteria. Enrofloxacin acts by inhibiting the activity of bacterial DNA gyrase, an enzyme which controls the supercoiling DNA, by converting relaxed covalently closed circular DNA to a superhelical form by an energy-dependent strand breakage and resealing process. These effects result in degradation of chromosomal DNA and thus producing a bactericidal effect. NEO MEDITRIL-I is effective against Gram (+) and Gram (-) aerobic bacteria, including: Corynebacterium pyogenes, Pasteurella multocida, Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Salmonella sp. and Mycoplasma gallisepticum.

• Enrofloxacin
• Excipients

INDICATION

• Ruminants, swine: For the treatment of infectious disease caused by Gram (+) and Gram (-) bacteria, such as: SEP (swine enzootic pneumonia), Haemophilus sp. Infection, AR (atrophic rhinitis), Pasteurellosis and digestive disorder, mixed infection of unknown origin
• Poultry: CRD complex, colisepticemia, coryza, fowl cholera and other bacterial infections

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

• Ruminants, swine:
  - Intramuscular injection (through flesh/muscle): 0.5 ml per 10 kg of body weight per day as an initial dose, then continue treatment with 0.25 ml per 10 kg of body weight for 3-4 consecutive days
  - In severe cases: 0.5 ml per 10 kg of body weight for 4-5 consecutive days
• Poultry: Intramuscular (through flesh/muscle) or subcutan (under the skin) injection: 0.125 ml per kg of body weight
