Medicine for “malaria like” (leucocytozoonosis) symptoms.
Maladex is a medicine containing Pyrimethamine and Sulfamonomethoxine, two chemotherapeutic agents which act synergistically in eliminating protozoa. Maladex is effective against Leucocytozoon sp. (causative agent of leucocytozoonosis or “malaria like”). Maladex is safe if given to chickens in productive age (broilers or layer chickens). This because the active substances in Maladex does not affect growth and egg production.
Each liter contains:
“Malaria like” (leucocytozoonosis)
0.2 ml per kg of body weight or 1 ml per 2 liters of drinking water given for 2-4 consecutive days, followed by giving for 2 days every week with dose of 0.1 ml per kg of body weight or 1 ml per 2 liters of drinking water during outbreak
