Levamid Kaplet

LEVAMID-K is a caplet preparation containing niclosamide and levamisole HCl. Niclosamide works by inhibiting glucose uptake and interfering mitochondrial phosphorylation in the Krebs cycle. The breakdown of the Krebs cycle results in the accumulation of lactic acid which is toxic and may kill the worms. While levamisole HCl works by affecting nervous system and blocking fumarate reductase and succinate oxidase in the carbohydrate metabolism of worms resulting paralysis so then the worms will be successfully removed from the host body.

COMPOSITION

Each caplet contains:

• Niclosamide
• Levamisole HCl 

INDICATION

• Eliminates cestodes (Raillietina sp., Davainea sp. and Hymenolepis sp.)
• Eliminates larvae and adult stage of nematodes in:
• Gastrointestinal tract (Ascaridia sp., Heterakis sp., Capillaria sp.)
• Respiratory tract (Syngamus trachea)
• Eyes (Oxyspirura mansonii)

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

Give to gamefowls at growth, young, and adult phase : 1 caplet per 2 kg of body weight

Give Levamid-K once. It may be re-administered 1-2 months later
