Ferdex

Ferdex is an injection preparation containing complex of iron with dextran (Fe-dextran) of light molecular weight. Ferdex is effective for preventing and treating anemia of piglets due to lack of iron.

INDICATION

• Prevent anemia and reduce mortality in piglets
• Enhance growth
• Improve body resistance against infection

COMPOSITION

Each ml contains:

• Fe-dextran equivalent to iron (Fe) 
• Excipients 

DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION

Inject intramuscularly (through flesh/muscle) on thigh areas

• Prevention:
  • 1.5-2 ml per piglet at the age of 1-3 days
  • If necessary, repeat at the age of 2-3 weeks for 2 ml per piglet
• Treatment:
  • 2 ml per piglet at the age of 3 days or older
