Chemotherapeutics for colibacillosis, coryza, and fowl cholera.
COLLIMEZYN is a water soluble powder preparation containing sulfadiazine and trimethoprim combination which works in synergy against Gram (-) and Gram (+) bacteria, such as: Escherichia coli, Haemophilus sp., Pasteurella sp., Salmonella sp., Staphylococcus sp., etc. Sulfadiazine and Trimethoprim work by inhibiting the formation of folic acid needed in protein and nucleic acid synthesis so that bacterial growth is inhibited.
Each gram contains:
1 g per 2 liter of drinking water or 0.1 g per kg of body weight for 3-5 consecutive days
