ASORTIN is a solution preparation containing a combination of organic acids, acts as a feed additive which helps to improve performance and maintain digestive health of the chicken. In the digestive tract, organic acids will partially dissociate. The dissociated part will work directly in lowering the pH of the gastrointestinal tract so it gives effect to increase the activity of proteolytic enzymes (pepsin) and pancreatic secretion thereby increase the digestibility of proteins and amino acids, and change intestinal morphology to improve digestibility and absorption of nutrients. Whereas the non-dissociated form will penetrate into the pathogenic bacterial cell, then dissociate due to the higher pH of the environment, causing the accumulation of anions in bacterial cells, resulting in continuous energy release and the death of bacteria. Administration of ASORTIN helps to reduce infections and maintain optimal pH in digestive tract.
